bias ply tires

Flat Ernie had a 34 from South America and the 'Stones had "Campion Deluxe" on the side.

Back a few hundred years ago when I waz a kid, the old fords ran the tracks very well. Just drop the pressure down to 10 or 15 lbs and you could go for miles. But ya gota watch out for those steam engines.

One Sunday, (no trains out on the branch lines) with leftover beer from Saturday night, we ran a '46 Monarch Coupe about six miles east on the CNR tracks to the next little town, passing the railway section foreman's house and tooting the horn at him as he was hoeing his potatoes. We then went south on the road and hopped on the CPR tracks to run back west. I could pull the throttle out and easily run about 30 mph with no hands on the wheel. There was a short trestle on the CN line which was interesting. By Tuesday the railway police from both lines were actively searching for the car and us, and we pulled the engine at my dad's farm and stashed the rest in the bush. ..B.

I think Coker has the molds now, but I don't think they make them like they were made in the old days - they just don't last anymore. I never thought to look to see where these tires were made-just assumed they were made here.

Yes, Coker owns all of the vintage Firestone, BF Goodrich silvertown, radial TA and the Firestone, dirt track, Indy and drag race molds.
