Beware New England :)

Hey, we put the chains on the Stoddard - Dayton Speed Car and went to McNeils Grocery Store and stocked up, but we only got 12" in Vermont. Still having high winds though, if they do not knock out the power we will be all set.

How much snow did the rest of you get and where??

Here is a link to some neat old Nor'easter photos. And here to learn all about Nor'easter's

Can you say HOLY CR** BAT MAN !!!!

Every one take breaks from shoveling , Slow & steady with periods of rest is the word of the day.

BE SAFE !!!!!! :) :)

That's exactly right Bill!
All you guys up there in NE be careful out there shoveling snow. It's very easy to over do it. Be safe as Bill said.

I don't know what all the fuss is about... It's sunny and 80 degrees here in Tampa...:p

Just kiddin', hope all you New Englanders are OK.

In the 70's when I lived in Cleveland a friend and I went out late at night in a snow storm in his stock "T" Roadster. The snow was 10" deep or better. We were out for hours, smokin cigarettes and drinking a few beers. We were the only ones' out on the roads, after a while we started to run into police and plows. All THUMBS UP, no trouble. The tall thin T tires just sliced through the snow. It was a great once in a lifetime experience.

Vic,
Just wait until the next Florida hurricane.
Milford, CT got the highest that I know of, 38 inches!! WOW. My daughter lives there and hasn't started shoveling out as it is still pretty windy
Bruce/CT

Got 25 inches in Kensington Ct with drifts of over 4 feet, took all day with 4 other family members to dig cars out, nowhere to put snow. Plows went by last ninght at 8:30 PM haven't been back since so we aren't going anywhere for a while. Pete/Ct.

Got about 21" - 22" here. The wind is the problem. It made 4' drifts at the back door and deck. John is right. Go easy on the snow removal. I'm think'n a bunch of us up here should get together and send Vic a little present. Like a couple of 40' refer boxes full of snow and have them dumped in front of the play house. :DYuk yuk.

Chuck, that would work!! Maybe dump them at the entrance to his driveway;);):D heeheehee

My Dad in the Northwestern Corner of Mass got 16" or so. Nothing to freak out about. When did less than 3" become a major snow storm for New England?

Yea right, how many guys are going to put chains on their classic fords to drive around in the snow and salted roads.LOL ken ct. Most of them wont even go out with it if theres a couple of rain clouds in the sky, haha

That sound like lots of fun to me....:D

U tube look up..... banger in the snow

I know it isn't but it looks like the old A&P market I used to work in at Warren Ma. in the early 50's. Store front looked the same. Drove my 49 Ford tudor to work every day and parked it across the street so I could keep an eye on it. Thanks for the memories.

Got well over 2 feet here. Also got a photo from one of my brothers in florida with the sun glasses on sitting on the deck near the pool. Somewhat concerned about possible rain tomorow on top of all the current snow on my roof. Pray for Spring

I got 4' in front of the house and 5' drifts in some places. Neither vehicles can move without getting the driveway plowed out.Drive is 75' long. And my truck is 4W drive i dont dare try. I got to shovel a path to get to it anyway. what a mess. ken ct.

Quit your crying, Ken, you've talked, for years, about moving down south. Get off your butt and come on down.
MIKE :)

Ken,
I grew up in Stratford..left 50 years ago. I recall the famous comment by Jasper McLevy (socialist mayor of Bridgeport from 1933 to 1957). After a particularly deep snowfall and the streets of Bridgeport were impassible for a week or so the people complained. McLevy wasn't going to spend money on snow removal. He said " The good Lord put the snow there. Let the good Lord take it away." The State moved in and cleaned up the city...dumped the snow in the harbor. Might have been the 1947 megastorm.
Don't overdo the shoveling..that's young men's work.

SORRY, but I just got back from my water aerobics class, in an OUTDOOR pool. They had heated the water to 82*. I even got a little sunburn on my face.
We have a V8 Club Meeting tomorrow, so it looks like a good day to skin the top back and go for a drive.
DAMN, I love Florida !
MIKE :)

Most do, except from April thru September when it absolutely sucks down there:p:p:p
