Great looking car! I do have a noobie question though. What is the leather flap with two snaps near the passenger side cowl shown in picture #4? I'm curious since I don't have this in my car. Is it an access panel? If so, then for what? Thanks.

It is a pocket that was used for registration papers and such because there are no door pockets on the 180A

Thanks Scott for posting the pictures. Beat the rain night before and early morning and that nite. !![both times driving in them.] Some nice unrestored cars showed up. First International Harverster 1914? Mora touring, brass car , 1934 /3 window Ply.coupe , a restored 1932 Ply. 4 door [large one -only 3 known ] flea market , n.o.s. 28/29 sedan rear left fender $500. turned out to be a nice meet not far off the lake.

What a car makes me want to go to ebay and start searching for 180s, truly breath taking

Pete,
I can't wait to see your Phaeton. Let's put some miles on it. I'm about to turn over 1500 miles on our Phaeton. The tour this year is 76 miles! I'm sure the Blue Ribbon mandatory portion will be abbreviated.
snicker....snicker....snicker.....

Some day I hope to have a deluxe phaeton to possibly take the place of the cabriolet once the family begins to grow.

Pete- beautiful job, almost makes me sorry I'm hotrodding mine, except I don't have nearly enough money to restore it. I'll have it on the road to Bonneville for under $25K. Thank you for your ongoing help & referrals to some of the best craftsman/parts suppliers in the Country.
If I had known how valuable the body style was when I bought it on E-bay from New York, I might have reconsidered. I had just sold my '32 Roadster because the cockpit was too crowded for me & the 180A looked like I could just move the seats back. Oh well....
