Best high-quality Model A/AA parts.....

Brent, in his post below mentioned "high-quality" Model A/AA Ford parts.

I sure would like to know just what the best high-quality parts are for the Model A/AA Ford so when I order something, I won't have to worry about sending it back because of it's junkiness and the fact that it doesn't fit.

On the other hand, guess all I have to do is come on to Fordbarn and ask the question.

Steve, I guess it is one of those things where 'sperience factors in. On some things when you assemble a specific component 12-15 times a year, you get a feel for what is good and what is not. On some repro items we buy, I find the foreign made is a better product than the US-made. Best example of this is in steering wheels. Some items are made in US but two different ones are sold by vendorsa nd we like one type over another. I honestly think it comes down to perception. The things that bother some folks do not bother others. A good example is A-2041 Brake Adjusting Wedges. One type that a vendor sells when installed will slightly "scored" the shank caused by the threads in the A-2011/2211 Brake Housing Plates. It is frustrating to me yet goes unnoticed by others. The same might apply to patch panels or even running boards. To some folks, something "close" in form & function is a better value to them than the higher priced product.
