Hello everyone... new member here:
Anyway, I was searching the net for a Model A Boat tail speedster and I found this one... anyone know who made this body? Or who's Boat Tail it is. Would love to speak with the owner to find out where I can get my hands on the artist that built it...
Thanks in advance for any help :)

Welcome!!

Speedster bodies were almost always built by an individual. Do you have anymore information on what area of the country the photo is from?

Looks like a California plate
I think early 70's to mid 80's were the blue and gold plates. Might be a clue to when it was built.

That boat tail on the link in Tiny's post above has a V-12 block in it.

Can anyone hazard a guess as to what engine that is?

The speedster body is rite purty. The pistons in the old Lincoln V12 look as small as snuff cans. I'd rather have a warmed up A engine.

I believe your right about that. From what I know the V12 only gives wow factor but a warmed over V8 or A motor will eat those V12's alive.

The old V12 engines are cool and would be a real novelty to own. The A engine is much more simple and with the right mods would eat the V12 alive.

I would give Jim Huesby a call. Olympic Speedsters on the internet. Hand made body from steel that is flawless. Attached is a pic of my speedster that we worked together on a little over a year ago.

One of the nicest "boat-tail" Model A speedsters I have seen was made by a guy in Albuquerque, NM who took two 1939 Ford hoods and mated them - one on top and one on bottom (upside down). The rear end looked great with the rounded tail.

I took two 46/47 ford super deluxe hoods and made mine. I think it looks pretty decent, and has a nice body line in going down the center of the back. But I really like it when two international truck hoods are used. Those hoods are pricy though.
