Bearing sleeve dimpling

okay so the new TT truck rear bearing sleeves come without grease holes or dimples with a small note of your must drill and dimple yourself. drilling i understand but how are you supposed to dimple these things? the only thing i could think of was to heat it with a torch but i dont want to change the temper of the sleeve. i tried using an adapter in my brake shoe rivetter but nothing would line up properly. please tell me someones done this before and theres a simple solution.

Thought about how it would be done myself the other day. Never tried it but what if you put a stop of weld on it from a MIG welder? Put the sleeve in a bucket of water with only the end sticking out might stop it from changing the temper dramatically.
Might work.

We have done several of these and once the sleeve is installed, just hit it with the mig and give a it a light tack in the hole where the dimple should be. Works everytime and no trouble yet.

Thanks guys. I never though of using the welder since the old sleeve had actual dimples. Now I've gotta lug the MIG down to the shop.
