Bearing ID

Long-shot that it's an 'A' part, but it was with a box of Model A parts I acquired quite some time ago. Been sealed in wax since '51. Really could belong to ANYTHING, but I figure worth asking. I think the measurements are 1 3/32x 1 11/16 x 1 3/4.

Maybe a useful part number on bearing itself? Would require opening but you would have a visual ID plus possibly a usable part number as well. Just a thought. :)

Might be a good idea to open anyway. At this point the bearing could be like new or rusted and not worth saving, but you never know. :) Many of the old bearing were packed in a waxed or greased type paper and more then likely are not sealed.

Impressive packaging to say the least. Wax-coated box--->wrapped in heavy wax paper--->another layer of heavy wax paper--->nicely greased. I'll grab a rag tomorrow and see if I can find a number.

I was thinking water pump. Ford was not the only one to used roller type bearings. If some one had a bearing catalog that listed by size from the era, they might be able to look it up. Or try googling that part number and see if you get any hits.
