Battery ground cable

where is best place to bolt the battery ground cable on my 37? I have the lead strap from the body to the intake manifold. it is a stock setup with positive ground.

The ground cable should be mounted on the block as close to your starter as is possible. You need all the power to the starter you can get. Henry didn't always do that. I have seen some mounted to the frame and that leads to poor conductivity. Your starter requires as much as you can give it to start the car. Closer is better.

You should get a copy of the 1937 Ford Book from the Early Ford V8 Club. I checked my car that I put together years ago and then compared it with the book. They were the same. The ground cable goes to a stud on the firewall next to the battery (slightly to the left of the battery as you look into the engine compartment while standing in front of the car). There is a second strap between the engine head stud and the firewall.
