Battery cut off switch 1936 Ford

What do you think of the idea to install the cut off switch on the battery side of the floor starter switch under the hood? I won't have to drill any holes that shouldn't be there.

The other question is do I just remove all the wires that are secured to the battery side of the starter switch and attach them to the cut off switch and secure the cut off switch, with a bracket, to the battery side of the starter switch?

I've always used one on all my old Fords. Buy the good ones that are priced between $15-20. They have the metal body with the lever on top. I've never used the ones that sit on a battery post. I make a bracket and either mount it to the firewall or you can mount it to the floorboards which allows to access the lever inside the car. I put all the wires on one side and the battery "hot" cable on the other side.

So many to choose from. Do some research...

I used a Cole-Hersee Marine grade switch. Which means it’s mostly brass. It actually fit inside the battery support bracket. It was installed immediately after the negative battery cable between the battery and the solenoid. So you just see two identical black cables goin down it looks pretty stock as it appears to be the same cable. This is on a ‘52 truck.
