I use Never Seize with aluminum in it. Wipe off excess so it doesn't collect dirt. Been doing it on all my batteries for about 50 years and never have corrosion problems.

been using optima for 15 years & never applied any corrosion preventer as there are no escaping gases to cause it. Terminals always stayed bright & clean.

Optima are sealed, so you don't need anything
