Ok just when things where humming along my 36 has developed a minor leak in the top radiator tank:mad::mad: I know that the right thing to do is pull it out but at the moment time is against me.
Have found this on the Barsleaks site, as a temporary fix has anyone run this, if so any problems and more importantly did it work???

Again its only a minor leak that seeps a little (few drops on the radiator fins) after a run.

I started using Bars-leak in the 50s & been recommending it ever since. I think it is the best & almost always works with no problems. ~~Walts37~~

My wifes 2000 Ford Explorer started losing water. It would take it a week for the reservoir to go empty . There is no visible signs like water on the floor ect. I put a bottle of Bars liquid copper seal in there 3 weeks ago and it hasnt lost anymore water. Its working for me so far.

Am familiar with the old style Barsleaks (Pellet type) and saw the new copper sealer 1109 on their website. It looked VERY sludge like going in when they show the demo video clip on the website and it worried me it might block things it shouldn't.

I'd have to buy it from the USA as 1109 isn't available here in Australia yet, I spoke with the east coast rep today and he said even though they (Barsleaks) have had similar enquiries there is no plan in the foreseeable future to add it to the Australian product list.

I might stick with what I know and go with the old pellet type Barsleaks and see how that goes, I know that at the end of the day I'll have to pull the radiator to fix it properly. Just want to buy some time and put it off for a little bit longer:rolleyes:
