any good books out there for banger motors? just picked up a late 40s RPU with a fresh banger in it never been around them would like to read up on um and have a book around for when it comes time to do maintenance and up keep.

some specs

Model A four cylinder motor. Bored .125 over (214 c.i), hi-compression head (6:1) 4 into 2 header, dual 2" straight pipes, mild cam, adjustable valves, , downdraft intake and a single Holley 94 carb
 
There is a monthly Banger Meet on the HAMB webside with lots of very knowledgeable people from around the world. Reading all those posts is better than any book you can find on the topic IMO.:D
 
Google 'Secrets of Speed Society'. Charlie Yapp puts out a great magazine on 'Bangers', and also sells lots of neat speed parts.
 
F.A.S.T. also puts and A-1, first class, top of the list magazine for bangers. Google up hotforhotfours.com Ken
