My 36 was converted to 12 volts by the prev owner with a kit from vintage auto garage. Still running the ford dual point helmet dizzy w/remote mounted 12v coil and a ballast resistor. If I look on vintage auto garage's website now, they still sell these kits but I no longer see a ballast resistor. Can I assume if I run the 12 volt coil they now sell, it has an internal resistor? Reason I ask is, the ballast resistor on my firewall is looking suspect and I would either like to buy another for a replacement, OR, do away with it entirely.
The coil with their kit is this RUC15 (https://www.vintageautogarage.com/productdetails_popup.asp?productcode=RUC15) which appears to have an internal resistor?
