Ball park overbore on 34 flathead block

Hi
I have a 34 flathead that has .060 over pistons in it now, there is a bit of a ridge in a few cylinders .
I’m wondering what I might be able to overbore from here is that generally the limit on a 34 block ?
I will end up sonic testing but just wondering

Also I’m located in Alberta, Canada I’m not sure who or where I might be able to send it if I need main bearings done ?

Thanks in advance

Not your answer but how deep is the ridge , does it smoke ? How have you verified its a 34 block . Not being a smart asp but the answers will help answer your original question.

Not sure how deep it is for sure just gave it a quick feel you can catch your nail on it for sure. I have not had it running I got with the car I purchased currently no heads on it . I was told 34 at a quick glance looks right but I have not looked to close.

I was told .060 was thought to be about max on a 34 also. I will sonic test and see what I can figure out from there. So if I need a new block wondering if I should step up and look at a 37, 38 era or should I jump up to 53 era. I want to build one to be able to put some miles on ……..open to any suggestions thx

It would be good to keep all related questions on one thread. I advised a '37 - '38 block on your other thread. The 8BA block presents fitment problems with your '34.

Ok will do that sorry didn’t mean to cause confusion

8BA from what I have read have different motor mount locations, and I am thinking the trans does not bolt up

On a '34 block, the next step after +.060" is to sleeve the block back to standard bore.

Yes, I have a sleeved back to standard 33 babbit block in my 34, it is one nice engine.
