Bad start...Happy ending

Hey Scott, I think you left that gremlin here in Vermont last time you were through. I can't seem to find any of that junk I gave you or insisted you needed to buy from my overflowing collection of stuff and sXXX, did you actually take anything I tried to unload er....I mean ENRICH your collection with? And Ken, I thought I should respond to that e-mail you sent me about 3-4 months ago, but I forgot what you asked me about as I was checking with my friend, Tim to see if he had WHAT I FORGOT you asked me for or about (I don't know... it might have been about fuel pumps???) Oh well!!! Toby

Did you ever notice that the place you find something is the last place you looked? If we could ever figure out how to START there....

Joe :
Not really even when I find what I am Looking for. / I forgot that is what I was looking for. / & I keep looking any how.

I have adopted a policy where if I stumble across something I know I will need for the current project, I take it from the obscure place I just found it in and put it with the other stuff already gathered together for that project. I normally stumble on one thing while looking for another, that I fail to find. Even though I remember seeing it recently when looking for something else. (hence the "put it somewhere obvious" ploy)

Mart.

I have to write down what I'm looking for so I don't forget. I carry a small notebook in my pocket. On the front it sez "Short Term Memory". Then all I have to do is remember which pocket I put it in...:eek:

I'm still trying to find the Edelbrock intake manifold for the 351W I am trying to assemble for my '50. I'm thinking it might have something to do with clutter AND my poor memory competing with each other.......Bob L
