Hello fordbarners, I would like to pass along some info of a bad seller and what happened to me
a fella and his brother in michigan contacted me.
I met him through ebay selling a pair of 30/31 roadster doors I wanted.
He sold them but said he had two roadster cowls and several doors.
I saw pictures of the 31 cowl and the 28/29 cowl and a couple doors.
I took his word on three other doors he said they are "cherry" and only have 3 pinholes.
and he claimed he had an original 32 roadster door that was also cherry that he'd sell me
Well I sent him paypal and I ended up getting two very poor front 28/29 roadster doors
and the two "cherry" 28/29 rear pheaton doors turned out to be rotted on the bottom, sides top and top face and beat up too!!
and the "32" door turned out to be a 30/31 roadster door not a 32.
He also said the shipping is $250 through greyhound and I was over charged $80. and no effort was made to pack any of the items to avoid damage.
lastly it took 3 weeks to get the 28/29 roadster cowl through greyhound and
he never sent me the roadster stanchion and trim parts of the cowl that make it a roadster cowl!!!!!
I have tried to work with him for 3 weeks to send me the roadster piece and to make it even with other parts, or to buy back the doors that he sold me as cherry doors!!
I am now forced to take further action against him!
I don't know if these guys are on the hamb or fardbarn, but I do not want to have anyone else get screwed over like me!
I am now filing a claim in paypal and need to know what recourse I have.
any ideas would be great
thank you
and if any of you guys in michigan or back east run across him trying to sell parts i would not buy them!!!! Contact me off line, and I can tell you what not to do.
I can pm you their names n info just dont want to get kicked off here by posting it up even though I am not happy with them!!!
I am in california so unfortunately its not in driving distance to confront these gentlemen.
