its sad its your A and it would have ruined anyone's day. I have had one similar experience and my sister in law two others with our moderns, and in every case the ******* ran off. It sounds like the man is honest and might help or have insurance to help with the finances to restore or replace the car. Good to hear you are ok and enjoying strawberries and cream.
