backfire on startup

After about 2 weeks in the garage with no trouble my 31 roadster is backfiring every time I start it. Any ideas on what could have happened or help to correct the problem. I did a search on the barn and found a lot of info on backfiring on shutoff or when running but nothing on start up. Thanks in advance for your answers.

Try opening the gav more on cold starts just an idea to try
make sure your motor is properly tuned to proper specs and maintenanced

back firing thru carb or muffler?

I'd try a different distributor body, one cylinder may be jumping to another one.
