hi again; ive found what i believe to be the mounting holes for the steering box... a match is on the right side ... did henry put these holes in both sides for export autos??? or are these for something else???im sure they are for the steering box. i even tried an old one in the holes , and it fits perfectly- on both sides ,does this date the frame in anyway?? thanks kevin

I dunno, but my frame only has holes on the right side, which is probably because we are RHD here! :D My frame is most likely Canadian made if that makes any difference.

The frames were set up for left or right hand drive, I'm sure its was easier and time saving to just stamp the holes in the frame rail rather than setting up for overseas frames,

I welded up the right side holes, made a template from the holes on the left side, and used spray paint to transfer to the drivers side. then used a die grinder and burr bits to open up the holes. Bob

hi folks; just got back from shop... found engine number on really pitted frame... its a 355xxxx number , which puts it at about a june 1930 frame... thanks for all the mssgs...kevin
