Back to Body Blocks

Lots of info on installing rubber pads to body blocks, but. What about the very front -dog leg looking blocks- at the very front of the body. They slide into an enclosed sheet metal area. I'm assuming no rubber pad on these forward blocks. Done a lot of reading, but haven't found anything specifically addressing
this.

Also, the blocks located at the underbody cross channels, are they recessed into the channel and intended to be flush with the bottom of the channel. All my blocks were long gone so I'm starting from scratch setting this body up for reinstalling on the frame. '29 phaeton in work.

all of the body blocks get rubber pads under them. between the blocks and the splash aprons and or the frame.

This is a link to the HAMB with a good body block illustration.

The front body block was the one that had the long pad. The rest of them are a lot alike on the 28/29. Most of the padding is provided under the splash aprons in the form of the web that is placed on top the frame rails but the body doesn't set directly on that since it sets on the apron top surface.

Thanx guys for the body block info, time to get back at it. Gotta pressure wash the body and start workin sheet metal.
