Back surgery tomorrow

Been there, done that. Hang in there. I suffered unfathomable pain one morning after 3yrs of misery. Sort of the same deal as you, but my issue was pain. I went home the same day of the surgery, was fine in about 5 weeks. That was in 99. Best of luck and keep a positive outlook. That heals ya faster than anything.

Not to worry.Iwill be glad to come by and drive Apatchy for you. Hoping an apraying you have fast an painless recovery.David and the rest of Alcovy Valley V8ers

Re: Update on back surgery AMAZING

Quote from former post.

"Should be up and around in a couple of days and "over it" in about 4 weeks. I certainly hope it corrects my legs giving away without warning. I am tired of bouncing off walls and floors.

After the surgery, which I was well aware of as it progressed, although sedated somewhat, I asked the Doc if I had any physical limitations for a while, He said NO.

Wife drove me home. About the time I got home I got a call from the local dealership that I occasionally shuffle cars to other dealers for, asking me if I wanted to take a trip up to Marietta for a Dealer Transfer. Feeling great, and over my anesthesia, I said yes. Trip was uneventful. Back surgery in the morning and "back to work" in the afternoon. I got a call from the regular gal I drive for and she wanted me to take a trip back to Marietta, because the dealer had given me an incorrect second set of keys. I said, Yeah, I'll go. Up and back with no problems. That was this morning.

The doctor gave me a prescription for pain pills, but I have yet to take one, and have not needed them. He prescribed a knee support for a while just to brace the left knee, which was the one that always seemed to buckle first. I am wearing that. No shuffling around. No heavy feeling in my legs. I carry my cane just in case, but do not use it as support. No pain, no buckling. Truly a Miracle.

Only problem is that for the past 5 years or so, all of the various doctors thatI have seen said there wasn't anything they saw that they could fix. I guess that is why they call it "practicing" medicine.

Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers. They sure help.

Lawson
