On the bottom of the gas adjusting valve it shows a little spring to stop the valve vibrating out of adjustment.
Would anyone know if they are available

Renners Corner shows it, part # B-9526.
But that probably doesn't do you much good down under.
 
Swap emails with David Rener about this. See if you even need one. You have to pull the GAV "tube" out of the carb body to get to the spring and the washer. So your carb may still have one in there.

He sells a little tool to help pull the tube out without damgeing anything.
