AV8 - banjo rear vs Ford 8" question?

If it were me I'd use a banjo rear or a quickie as others have said - not the 8 or 9" - the banjo or quickie being more suited to a traditional car as already stated. My avatar has the center from an open drive p-up w/3:54s, 36 bells, 40 juice brakes, shortened 36 rear radius rods mounted up under using tie-rod ends, tube shocks, w/stock 40 flattie and a 5-speed. So far, it's been great around town or on a long trip (drove it to Charlotte G-Guys). I rebuilt everything on the inside of the banjo myself and if you drop the fluids every year, you should have no issues.

Hello Jack. I have a 29 model A with a 52 flathead in it. I had a 9" ford bronco 4.11 I did not like the look from the back. I changed to a 37 or a 38 rear end. Looks better to me ordered a open drive kit. I did not like the roadster setting so high. I am lowering the frame about 4 " front and back. I do think the banjo rear end is the way to go.
