just installed the auto restorations 5sp borg warner. now im having trouble getting the brakes to work correctly. everything was done correctly as per the directions. but now we having trouble getting the brakes to work properly. with the slack taking out of both front and back. when pressing the pedal we can only get the brake levers to move approx. 1/2 to 3/4''. something doesn't seem to be right. everything in the brakes are brand new just went to cast iron drums.. if anyones done this mod and have any advice on the brakes please let us know.

also with this problem the front brakes are dragging a lot ! you can take the wedge out all the way and they still drag. however when you hit the bolt/nut on the bottom center of the backing plate they free up and spin until you press the brakes again.

You might do a search as the subject of poor brakes with that kit has been discussed before. Some
have gone to hydraulic brake to cure the problem.
