- 'MERCON V' BACKWARD COMPATIBILITY -

MERCON V was reformulated in 2002 (M2C919-E) to allow it to be backward compatible with original MERCON (1996 Intro - M2C202-B)

Then you would follow the backward compatibility of MERCON for earlier applications.

The 1st ATTACH below was an excerpt from FORD TSB 06-14-4.

The 3rd ATTACH is an excerpt from WIKI.

The transmission has been performing great.

I did do a bit of "tweeking" on the TV rod, to take it back to the original setting, which gave me back, the kick down, with the peddle, but we won't talk about that now will we.

But overall, she is as good as the day she left the LA plant, back on August 26, 1953. That reminds me her birthday is coming up shortly, wonder what I should get her?
