Jack '29 Sport Coupe

Well-known member
Did anyone see the 1930 Coupe that sold for 6500.00 bucks on the
Mecum auction yesterday? I'm not referring to the televised version, I'm
referring to the internet version. It was a NO RESERVE auction and the
coupe was beautiful. Last year I put a '59 VW in the Mecum auction and
got lucky. I surely would never put my coupe in a reserve auction after
that! I videotaped it on my computer screen and wanted to put it on the
barn but didn't want to violate any copyright laws.

Video was erased from my videocam and I didn't save it in my
computer. They also had another coupe not nearly as nice that
sold for twice the price. Go figure.

Mecum.com. is the website. You will have to sign up for the internet connection. It's only on during certain hours on the internet. The live broadcast on the tv starts at 6:00 tonight on HD Theatre. Once you get registered for internet bidding, you will get notifications as to when you can view it on your computer.

Model As are usually not hot items at the run of the mill auctions. Real Model A prices are found in Hemmings and the 2 club magazines. They're only worth what someone is willing to pay for them. Fortunately for us who love them, except for the really rare body styles, they're not appreciating very quickly. I hope that doesn't change until I'm ready to sell in about 25-30 years.
