I bought four of these and I have no idea why I did it when I wasn't sure what they are. They reminded me of the bicycle stands for the old cycle trucks from the 30's and 40's. I got them home and the one with the printing I could read to most says Ford on it and there were 5 model T's there so I'm guessing they are for the model T.

Can anyone help me identify what these are?

They are tire saving jacks! I looked them up by searching for "metzig bros + bodie, wi" and it shows me a page saying that the patent for them was just purchased by Gemco.

The page it came from was from may, 1920 so these are earlier than that... I'm glad I found this site, otherwise I probably would have just put them in the corner until I decided to do something with them.

I have no idea what these should cost. I haven't seen any others anywhere on line other than advertisements for them. I'm going to list on line and see what they bring. I'd offer them here, but without knowing their value, I can'[t place an ad.

I believe they would be placed under the hubcap at each wheel, and then you lift the handle up to lift the tire off the ground. They are for storage to keep the tires off the ground, presumably to keep them from cracking or flat-spotting.

They are a set, and should be kept together as a complete set.

I do not know their value though.
