Auction buy has finally arrived

It is surprising how many people still call them GRAB HANDLES and think this is correct.. PLEASE find me "1" "ONE" original Ford picture of ANY COUPE with these on. Or a FORD Parts book stating for a COUPE. This statement and one i heard this year at a National meet [ Model "A''s had Stainless Steel bumpers] and the judge said it with a straight face ! And his wife being a judge too backed him up....Good thing i have the JS guide with me....

The picture of the motor makes it appear as if the car was in flood waters for a while.

No flooding evidence anywhere. The pictures were taken minutes after unloading it off the open trailer which transported it from Wisconsin to south Louisiana where we currently have 100% humidity .

Mark W. .......................
Those "handles", actually are roadster top rests. Ford Motor Co. did not install them on anything but roadsters and cabriolets. A lot of owners did install them on their coupes.
MIKE :)

You are correct about roadster top rests. They were not installed on Cabriolets.

A friend's wife slipped & broke her leg while gettin' into their coupe. Later he put "GRAB HANDLES" vertically on both "B" posts for SAFETY. They look good there.:D
I may put a pair beside my "THUNDER MUG!" Bill W.

The bar between the rear bumper I suspect is for a trailer hitch attachment.

has nothing to do with a trailer hitch.
just an accessory bumper bar to protect the trunk or the spare as the case may be.
the other heavier one you describe sounds more like a trailer hitch.......

Its original intention my not be meant for towing but with the ball found on the rumble seat floor board and the wear shown on the bumper I'd say that it's use is clear.
