I'm getting ready to assemble my 30 pu, frame, front end and drivetrain are cleaned painted and rebuilt. I've got Andrews book and look to it alot for good info.
I'm thinking in order front end, engine,flywheel housing, flywheel, clutch/pressure plate,trans,ujoint,rearend

I'm using original style motor mounts

Any thoughts or comments

Looks like a good plane to me.

Don't forget the gaskets and INNER part of the u-joint housing, or the rear end will have to come out again.:(

Also be sure to pack the u-joint full of grease.

Tom, I wish you had posted that reminder about a week ago. I just finished bolting in my engine and the radiator is all connected, I forgot the U-joint gaskets.:( Do you think I can get away with cutting the gasket and putting gasket tac on both sides, then bolting it together?
 
If there's enough room I don't see why not, put your cut at the top and see no need for gasket tac, maybe thin kiss of wheel brg grease. JMO

Yes, I did it once exactly as Flamingo said, with the cut at the top. Remember, there's 2 gaskets, one on each side of the inner thrust housing that the torque tube pushes against.
