Are you a 1952-56 Ford owner?

you can go to a spring shop that does trucks they should be able to make them i had a set made for my 55 merc wagon a few years back for $400.00

Redneck you should install a lever action brake light switch under dash, they work best or go to motor cycle shop for hyd. switch they take less pressure to work. To day driving you need good brake lights.

I got my springs and shocks from Tee-Bird in West Chester, Pa. They do T Birds and 55-56 Fords. I have spent several Bucks there. The springs and shocks sure made a difference in the ride.:D

If you havent seen them, check out Posies also. They have superslide springs they call them, and are available in stock height and 2", 3" drop etc.. Thats what I am going to get when I replace mine. Heard good things.http://www.posiesrodsandcustoms.com/

Thanks Todd, I'll check them out when ready to replace mine. But I want to raise the rear end up a bit, as I'm going for a slight rake to my '56. That and maybe Aerostar front coils, and a newer heavier mid 80s TBird front sway bar should stiffen it up quite a bit.

I already have a set of HiJackers on back but with the worn out springs and 205-15s on it - well it looks like it's on stilts. and as the old song goes, nobody likes the girl with the skinny legs . My Vicky gots skinny legs. . .

Hey did you ever find out how wide are your rims? I think I'm gonna go with 225 60R15s on the 6.5" stock wheels I have. I'm a bit concerned about the inside rubbing but I checked 6.5" with the 6" rims & 205-70R15s on it now, the offset is same - the extra 1/2" is on the outside. It it's too close I think I can stick a 1/4" backspacer in there - that'd be a last resort.

I have had my 56 for a couple of months. I just put new rear springs and shocks on today.Had to order a brake light switch today. The switch works but half to push really hard to make the brake light come on.I got the electric wipers yesterday and that my next job.First I am going to try to correct the vacumm wipers to make them work. The rear end leaking and that going to be a nice hard job.I still got a little oil leak that this afternoon I will try to fix.I guess that enough crying for now.
Ken, just another reason to get up and get going in the morning! Need to keep up with the maintenance on those cars. I know your loving every minute of it! LouB.

When I got my '56 they had reversed the shackles. I put them back normal and put air shock on it. Gabriel are the only company that makes them. Summit had Monroe's listed but when I got them they didn't fit so had to send them back.
