Are these "Widow Maker" Wheels?

Thanks again for the advice, Stu your info is great and read on several boards. Fronts are the Widow Makers while the rears are a three piece lock ring, this is possibly why the rear tires are fairly new and fronts need replaced. I've started what could be a long search for a couple 22.5" or dodge rv wheels to replace the fronts before we start driving.

Keep in mind that by going with the 22.5” or 19.5” tubeless wheels you are gonna have to use radial tires. The 9R22.5” is the narrowest today available. It is the size equal of the bias ply 8.25”-20”. That’s a really big tire, 38”+, and probably bigger than the rears on your truck. If you go with the 19.5” wheel the tire is the 8R19.5” which is 33.5” tall. Probably much shorter than your rears. Then there is the issue of mixing radial fronts and bias ply rears. Some sources advise against mixing them.

The fact of only needing the two front wheels raises the question of just finding the old safer locking side ring type wheels to replace your fronts. Those aren’t hard to find, either in yards or from guys like me that keep our eyes open for them. Stu
