Are These Even Model A; Window Channels? Murray Town Sedan

Gents,

I have a Murray 1929 Town Sedan. In it, are what appear to be the original window regulators with associated ends on the arms (see photo). This is my father's car which he bought in 1974-ish, he cannot remember if the glass was original or obtained later, he leans toward him getting it later. I am finishing an amateur restoration on it and I have four pieces of glass with a metal channel installed on the bottom (again, see photos).

The ends of the arms engage into the metal channel as if they were made for one another, and seem to operate as intended (though the glass is not yet installed).

In another thread about door parts, the channel at the bottom of the glass was described and in the description and accompanying photo the correct channel for this car appears to be full-length and on it a channel to hold a rubber seal to keep water out of the door interior. In another the channel has what can best be described as an elongated keyhole shape; an empty slot for the arm to engage and ride. As you can see, mine does not have these properties.

To the questions...
Are these correct to the car? Could the arms be correct, but the channels not? If not correct, does anyone recognize what they could be for? The glass has a straight top, not arched, is this correct?

I would have immediately assumed these to be incorrect if it were not for the fact that the arms and the channel seem to work together...could be a coincidence though. Any help is appreciated!

Steve

So they're definitely the wrong ones...Anyone interested in a trade?

Also, where can one source the rubber gasket that goes into the Murray-style track?

Thanks Don.

The 29 Murray sedan that I did some work on had a curved top on the drivers side glass and a straght top on the passengers side. The curved top is correct and the straight top won't seal at the top unless the glass gets cranked up hard into the soft rubber gasket.

Rubber for the metal channels:

MAC's part #A45989
Bratton's part #31330

Not perfect, but probably the only thing you will find that is even close. If someone else knows of a better one, I would like to know also, because I will need some for my 1930 Murray.

Ahhh, that IS what those are for. I was wondering. In a post from Marcos I saw that the originals had a separate channel to mount the rubber. This must be the new "improved" way.

Thanks for all the help!

This sketch is something someone sent to me snail mail probably 20+ years ago. Note the steel channel is two levels containing both the glass and the additional window seal.
