Anyone using Snyder's Modern Shock Kit?

No one ever looks under my car anyway and if they did they would immediately see it isn't stock. The Mitchell even gives it away if you look in the cab. So I;m thinking of a tube shock that I can replace about anywhere the same day and for less than the cost of one shock for the mounts and shocks, So what are the real strengths and drawbacks? Or is it like whitewalls vs black-walls? I've had original shocks rebuilt several times and they last six months or a year, then begin to leak. With the little driving each car get's that's not real good value for the money spent. As always, thank for your thoughts. (Even the hate mail.)

I have them on a pickup, a Cabriolet and a Roadster and I am totally satisfied. As long as I am satisfied, nobody else matters ! Wayne

I have a set I picked up at a swap meet some time a go . Does any one know the measurement that you drill the hole for the rear stock ? Thanks Miff

All positive responses so I put in my order. I guess someone figured out how to make a shock that fits the weight of the A. That used to be one of the strong arguments against them. I should get them in four days, so I'll post the hole size for miff, or are you trying to find the location? Either way I'll send measurements.

daveymc29 : I am looking for the location ( measurements) of the mounting holes on the rear of the frame, Miff

I have the Ken Davis shock kit, and am very happy with it.
In my opinion, they perform better than properly functioning Houdaille shocks.

I bought mine from CMR Sales Inc. No drilling, east install. They work great and he is a real nice guy to deal with. He has an ad in the rear of The Restorer magazine. His number is 843-830-9637.

Arrmotor, just got fours shocks and brackets at a swap meet years ago no instructions
