Anyone recognize this carb?

I got my Fordor from an estate. The family said Dad was always trying to get this car to go faster and he put this carb on it - told them it was what all the hotrodders did in the 30s. It starts GREAT and will idle OK most of the time. Often when coming to a stop it'll just die if you dont goose the throttle. it's also gutless past 1/2 throttle (sorry Dad, it didnt work). It looks like he just flipped the manifold over, make an adapter (really crude), and installed a fuel pump.

Anyone know anything about this carb?

If its a 94 it could be made to work by jetting it down to .042-to .044 main jets. If its a 92 it should be ok to go. Maybe in either case it needs redoing to operate properly. ken ct.

Look on the OTHER side of the bowl for the Model number...It'll be something like 59 or 91-99 (very likely this one), which will tell us what exactly it is.
The "H" on pump casting area marks it as originally built by Holley...some of these will show an F there marking a Ford built on.

You are correct sir! Looking at these close-up pics make it look like the carb spent most of it's life in a box full of loose tools running down rutted roads...
