Anyone know production numbers on 63 Galaxie's??

There were many 2 door Galaxie models, but just over 265,000 total were built. The actual model would help narrow the production number for that model.
I've never heard of a 260" Galaxie, as the 289" became the base V8 in '63, replacing the 292" Y-block. The 260's were installed in the Fairlanes, Falcon Sprints, etc. :)
 
The seller states it has the original 260 CI motor. Two Door Galaxie.

There is no model name like the 500.

Any info would be great.

Base '63 Galaxie 2 door production is listed at 30,335.
The 260 might have been used in early production base Galaxies, (not 500s or XLs) and would have F or 8 for the 5th digit in the VIN. The 289 used C.

The 289 was a mid-year addition, not sure of exact timeframe but it wasn't mentioned in sales/dealer literature before January '63, possibly as late as March '63 to coincide with the mid-year releases, i.e. SportsRoof fastbacks. I had a '63 Galaxie 500 2dr HT (boxtop) with a 260 and 3-on-the-tree with a mid-December '62 build date.
