Any comments just setting timing

I had to time my 29 it seemed to run a little ruff . Timed car as per the great advice on the barn. the car idles great with the spark advance up ,middle or down does not miss or ping as far as I can tell however seems to accelerate in second gear a little slower. Any thoughts why ? Still leaning here thanks in advance. Gord

Gord, timing may still me a little off if it "idles great with spark advance up, middle or down". At idle there should be a difference depending on the position of the spark lever.
Did you check/ set the points to .018 to .022? Does the top plate move with the spark lever? Just some thoughts.

I agree with Jax55. When idling, there should be a very noticeable difference when moving the spark advance lever. I don't think your timing is quite there yet, but you're close.
