Fellas,

I did a search and came up empty .

I am trying to repair my '27 T roadster and the drivers side turtle deck quarter is toast. I could repair it with a ton of hours of metal work, but would prefer to find something better since the body is pretty clean otherwise.

Anything repop or do I have wait to find one in the classifieds?

Thanks,

Tex

Tex, as far as I have found, no one is making the turtle sides. I have a nice 26 rdstr that has mostly bondo for the turtle sides. It was swiss cheese after it was cleaned up and the ones I found weren`t much better or just plain too high to buy. Good luck to you my friend. Monte

Thanks Monte, I was affraid you were going to day that.

Any body have a decent right side they want to sell?

Check with Model T Haven in Iola, Kansas, he is always tradein and don`t be afraid to haggle, thats half the fun of this hobbie. Hemmings Motor News is a great magazine for finding vendors and about anything associated with cars from the beginning to present day. Hope this helps. Monte

I have been intending to make those quarters or complete turtle decks for some time. Maybe now is the time to get you fixed up with a pair. I can get on them right away. Have a look at some of my metal work on www.olympic-speedsters.com . Best regards, Jim Huseby

Jim,

I think I speak for the entire early ford community when I say PLEASE MAKE THEM!!

As long as the price per side is reasonable I am sure you will sell a bunch because I have seen alot people in same the boat as me.

Let me know if you decide to make some and I can use a left side.

Thanks,

Tex

Try Howell's sheet metal. Some people don't like his business attitude and he can be slow in delivery. I have no problem with his products but i generally buy from him at a meet and get instant delivery. If you can him a good copy he can make.

Most all the Model T metal that has been out in the weather the past 75 or 80 years will look like 'swiss cheese' when it comes back from the sand blaster or acid dipper. That's why, in my opinion, you see so many roadsters driving around in their patina glory.
