Wrong, an autotransformer has only one winding, an ignition coil has two.
I see two types (attached). The second one is used in an A?
Thanks

Low tension ignition systems existed in the past. The points were the spark plug gap. There was a cam that opened and closed the points in the combustion chamber. How can the collapse occur with one coil.
Correct. The second one is used in an A?
Just as a matter of interest; why are coils for electronic ignition different?
