I hope I am in the correct section, if not let me know. Towards the end of the day I thought that a gray coupe hit the wall at the finish line. Did he in fact hit the wall and if so what happened?

yes, a '32 that belonged to a long time racer. the car hit pretty had and did a number on the front snd bue the driver was not hurt.

Hey Bob, there are a few posts/pics over on the HAMB of the wreck. I'm pretty sure they were posted by Mazooma and/or Dean Lowe.

Thanks Al,
Very interesting story/vehicle when followed thru in detail!
IMO, when you bounce a hot rod around as in this cars history...with a 'whittled' stock frame and hundreds of horse power:eek:......well maybe something will go wrong in steering function ?
It is simply amazing testimony, as to the toughness of Fords original '32 frame (80YRS LATER ! ) to have been campaigned in this manner for decades !!

Hey just a reminder to you all that the Antique Nationals are this weekend...Sunday Sunday...Sunday!!!!!

Fontana at the Auto Club Speedway.

Dennis has the coupe back together and is ready to have her run.
