Another question, 260 engine

What all was different on the XP 260 engines that Ford delivered to Shelby for the first Cobras? I have found information that the cam and intakes/carbs were and one reference to the ports. Were the block, heads, crank, rods ect. all different too?

If the one reference was via internet, I would be interested in taking a look too, with a 260 sitting in the barn.

This was an XE engine modified by FORD for delivery. The only place one would find all of the build details I would think would either be at a COBRA Enthusiast Site or a factory bulletin describing the changes.

I would imagine all were factory parts modified. This was right before the 289/271HP was released.
