Another Oil Pressure Question

I searched the posts but I am not sure what is acceptable initial oil pressure. I tested for oil pressure in my all new inside rebuilt 59a. Using a mechanical gauge with the plugs out and no power to the coil the starter was spun for 5 to 8 seconds. On the third try the gauge went to 20#. Repeating the test a couple of more times gave the same 20# within a second or two after spinning the starter. Does 20# sound about right to you folks?

i would say that is good, i just started my fresh 35 motor for the first time this week.
i got 30 lb with mo plugs in it. also i have 20-50 castoil in it with a zinc additive in the motor
yesterday i was driving about 40 mph and i had about 55lb and the temp was at 182
ant about 90 out side

Start it up and it will should hold 20psi is safe to start.

thats sounds good, ford never gave an oil pressure reading at idle, mostly all they say is #30 at 30 mph, so drive it and have fun doing so
