I got my 28 tudor running good and now that I'm driving it I need to know if I should be ajusting the timing control for hills. Where I live (Pennsylvania) your either going up hill or down hill. Your thoughts would be appreciated. Joe

With all those hills, you'd benefit from a high compression head. Then you'd also have to use less spark advance. Be sure to down shift when needed, so you don't lug the engine. Always retard the spark if you hear any pinging.

Hi there PA Joe, What part of Pa are you in? I am out of the Johnstown Area, lots of hills back here!

pa joe I feel tom is right on the money, here in vermont we have a few hills not so high as outwest but do have some steep inclines I find Miss Elizabeth likes a litte retarded spark up hill and opening the GAV a bit to keep float full helps a lot,, do not lug, repeat do not lug up hills as it will beat up your babbits if you got em... also Pop always said go down the hill in the same gear you went up it in... bobbycoke
