another model A truck question

i just picked this up, it was registered as a 30, but i think it's a 31 because of the indented fire wall (where the fuel shut off is) also look at the pictures does the bed look right for a 31,i was told it was a wide bed, the tail gate has the ford script but does not have the solid rectangle bead that i've seen in the catalogs(and no ford script). is this maybe a 32 or later bed, thank you

i forgot to ad that it has a factory steal top, if this helps.

See if the title can be changed to 1931. Your truck is definately a late 31. I would try and find a correct tailgate. Some vendors sell a remake for the wide bed but I don't know how good the quality is. I have a very late 31 (Nov) and love it.

The wide bed tail gate had three hinges that wrapped around a +/- 1/2" rod and the gate had no Ford name on it.

so the bed is right for late 31 but the tail gate is not, any one know what this tail gate would fit, i think it would be after 32 maybe, thanks.
