Old Henry seems to be listing to the right. How old was he in 34?
It's interesting that they turned the white wall in on the 3W coupe. Why not just install black walls?

[Kens 36]

The whitewall is not turned in. Those were double whitewalls.

Ken

[fordyford]

They are dual white on both cars.

[47topless]

Wow! Despite my best efforts, I actually learned something today. Dual white walls?
Incredible!

[Fullraceflathead]

Me too I never knew dual white walls existed!!!

Henry was born in 1865 on the family farm Dearborn, Mich.

[Dave Mellor NJ]

I thought he was born in 1863

[Lanny]

Yes, Henry was born in June or July of 1863...

If you paid extra for white walls (which was rare) you got double white walls through 1938.

Actually, through most of the 1940 model year.

Were they FORD script?

[Kube]

Were they FORD script?

Not necessarily.

Tires were supplied to Ford in 1940 by Firestone, Goodyear and BF Goodrich. Ford also made their own tires which would have been "script".
