Another "A" ready for the Road

Del in NE Ohio

Two years ago, I was visiting with an 84 y/o friend whom I had heard had an "A" fordor stashed away. When he showed it to me, he had replaced some wood years ago and just threw a tarp over it. I volunteered to finish the car for him. Removing the body, I verified that the frame and motor numbers matched. I called my friend with the news and he said " could have told you that!" When disassembling the car, I found an Ohio registration in my friends name for the car for the year 1967. Anyway, today I finished car and rolled it out for some parting photos.
LOVE THOSE FORDORS!

Absolutely Beautiful!!!!

I think it takes a special person to restore a Fordor to this level. These have to be one of the harder Model A's to restore.

My friend has driven the car. He was one happy duck!! He has been a member of our local chapter (Five Points Chapter- Penn Ohio Model "A" Ford Club) since the early '70's. Roger lives approx 25 miles away and before I could take the car to him, lake effect snow squalls set in. So... when the weather breaks, she goes home. Thanks for the kind words, guys!.

If only you could make that black shine,,,,,,, Right what a great job I can see the hours of buffing it takes thanks for the pictures
