another '32 question

I used the F-100 box as it came - never changed the mount location as in Tardel's book. I just shimmed it out to where I wanted it and at the right angle - then welded the shims to the frame rail. I then had to grind away on the steering arm as it rotates so it would "pass" the frame and move smoothly - you can hardly see it and no one has even noticed it. Works great ....

This method works, but then your 3 holes don't match up to the original 32 frame 3 holes.

I'm putting together a '32 and installed the steering box and column that I bought with some other '32 parts and things just don't line up right the column is too high to get my dash in, this stuff came out of a '32 pu truck. The box looks too big to me and has GEMMER on it. Is this an upgrade that someone adapted to the truck ? I'm using a roadster cowl and the dash won't even go in much less have room to put in the column drop. The column fits into the cut out in the firewall where it should but the angle is too steep. Anyone run into this before ? Thanks
I will NOT be at Hershey this year. Health reasons Kerk

I just bought a 37 hudson box so I will be selling the F1 box I bought on Ford Barn about a month ago. It has the stock flange machined off and a 32 flange with the right angle ready to weld on.
