I congratulate you all on this wonderful day !!! I am English and am very pleased you celebrate the arrival of those very brave country men of mine . In USA you have Irish Americans, Italian Americans , Japanese Americans , Korean Americans ,African Americans ,Chinese Americans etc etc but NO English Americans it must be that we got there first . They were very brave I was in the Merchant Marine for 40 years and been in the North Atlantic in winter with 10,000 horse power and bow and stern thrusters and yet been concerned on a dark and stormy night I kid you not .I watched the Smithsonian channel about Jamestown and Pocahontas et etc but no mention of the ships that were lost en route to the New World . The prevailing wind in the North Atlantic is Westerly so they sailed against the wind . 1776 happened because English people dont take any cr*p just that simple . Back in the day I certainly would have been a revolutionary !!! . My son did his DNA and has 720 5th and sixth cousins in the USA so we are still connected .

I’ll go along with that. My family came to Milford, Connecticut in 1635 from England. God bless everyone that had the nerve and fortitude to leave there country of birth to come here for a better life.

There still at it today. Have a great holiday season.

John is one hell of a good dude. We really enjoy him when he hangs out in Chandler, Arizona.He then pretty much resembles a Desert Rat! Ernie in Arizona.
 
WOW !!! Thank you all for your kind sentiments most appreciated . I hope to be back in sunny Chandler AZ in early Jan and meet up with you Ernie for sure . I have a bad feeing about this Omicron Covid variant could be the USA puts UK back on the "red list" so back on hold again .
