alternator conversion

Heres a couple that I have done .

Hi Ted, Could you tell me what alternator parts you used & what you did? I have a 34 pickup & need to use the fan like you have in your 1st picture. P.S. I have your brake kit in my 34. Thanks in advance.

The Ed Whitney generator to alternator conversion uses the fan mount front for applicable years. I have been using his conversion for 5 years now in my 37 Ford,mine is 6 volt but you can specify 12 volt. I think he uses a brand new Kawasaki alternator and places inside an aluminum housing with your supplied front and back, cutout on top for authentic look. I have correct 6 volt 37 Ford generators but thought I would try getting away from adjusting third brush and have been very pleased.
