Again i will post this on the Barn.

Yes,7RT is a 46-47 truck. Has a diff top than a pass car top. Only a truck air cleaner will fit on it. ken ct. Yea its still a 94 type carb.

Again, NO NO NO! Second time in a month for this false statement.:( 7RTs have a vacuum port for the new-style distributor. They were introduced in 1948 for the truck 8BAs and used through 53. 46-47 car and truck carburetors were identical Model 59s and no vacuum port.

A 7RT marked carburetor (actually an 8RT due to the cable operated choke and hand throttle.)

A 7RT is the predecessor before the 8RT and has a rod type choke and yes its based on the 8RT an the 8BA. And BTW get off my case. Some matter you having trouble getting your parts now. ken ct.

I'll take a look at mine, but unless it's plugged off, my 7RT doesn't have a vacuum port that I noticed, I did have the carb off and apart, but will double check later this morning.

That's funny, I have both 7RT and 8RT and both styles have the rear vacume port. ken ct. 7RT has a rod an ball type choke connection and the 8RT's have the cable type connections. At least a dozen of each type can not be all wrong. ken ct.

I just took a look at mine, I do have the port there, but has been plugged with a Welsh plug, hadn't noticed it before.

Despite what ken cc says or believes, the 7RT wasn't used with the 59 series engines, at least not from the factory. Therefore, this port was plugged post-factory.

I bought a nos 7RT carb, and it does have the vacuum port.

Mike, are you referring to the port in the manifold being plugged with a welch plug, or the port in the carb? If the carb, that would be unusual as it is a threaded hole.

Mart.

Ive got 1 or 2 that have the hole in the carb filled with solder, aint that smart,i don't think so. ken ct.

The one on the carb, is has the port "boss" as shown above (in henry's pic), but a welsh plug in it. I didn't detect any threads showing.

I don't recall what the intake looked like, never thought to look back then.
