over here in aus the suspension of choice for these models is xj6 jag series 3 preferably...ease of installation ..combined package of power steer,brakes makes it a simple excercise ....sorry for saying that on a ford forum....but you can't go past keeping it simple

Chrysler Volarie, many folks have patterns for the frame cut, ride extremely well, steering, sway bar, power steering, disc brakes, all suspension parts on the cross member. Tread width is perfect.

As FordBB mentioned, Volare is/was the preferred modification

I put a Volare in my 53 but would not use it today. It works fine, but better choices today. Jag sounds good, but Heidts would use more available parts.
